How to record vocals at home professionally
Posted by Charlotte Evans (choreographer) in production-tips
You don't need a $50,000 studio to record quality vocals. Here's my home recording setup:
- Audio-Technica AT2020 condenser mic (~$100)
- Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface (~$160)
- Reflection filter behind the mic
- Thick blankets on walls for absorption
- Pop filter ($10)
With this setup and proper technique, you can get radio-ready vocals. Pair with beats from beatcorelab producers and you're golden.
What's your home recording setup?
