EQ tips that transformed my mixes

Three EQ principles that changed everything:
1. Cut before you boost - removing bad frequencies is better than adding good ones
2. Narrow cuts, wide boosts - surgical removal, natural enhancement
3. Every element needs its own frequency space - don't let instruments fight
Specific tips for beats:
- Cut kick at 300Hz for clarity
- Boost 808 at 50-60Hz for weight
- Cut vocals at 200Hz to remove mud
- Boost melody at 3-5kHz for presence
