Building a music photography portfolio
Posted by Lukas Weber (photographer) in photography
When I started shooting music content, my portfolio was empty. Here's how I built it:
1. Offer TFP (time for prints) shoots to local artists
2. Shoot live shows - even small venues
3. Connect with producers on beatcorelab who need promo content
4. Create mood boards and conceptual shoots
5. Post consistently on Instagram
The beatcorelab Connection feature has been my main source of music industry clients. Musicians need photos for everything - profiles, covers, social media, and press.
Keep shooting, keep improving!
