Analog vs digital - does it really matter?

I see debates about this all the time. Here's my honest opinion as someone who's sold hundreds of beats on beatcorelab:
For 99% of us, digital is more than enough. Modern plugins are incredible. The difference between a Waves SSL compressor and a real one is negligible in a beat.
That said, analog gear gives you a workflow advantage - turning physical knobs is more inspiring than clicking a mouse.
My recommendation: invest in good monitors and acoustic treatment before any analog gear. Your room acoustics matter more than any piece of equipment.
What's your take?
