Afrobeats production tips for non-African producers

Afrobeats is huge right now and I've been learning to produce it. The key elements: 1. Rhythm is EVERYTHING - study the clave patterns 2. Log drums and shakers are essential 3. Guitar loops (or learn basic guitar) 4. Keep it groovy, not heavy 5. Vocals sit on top, not buried I've been uploading my Afrobeats experiments on beatcorelab and getting great feedback from the community.
